We love Calendula for the multitude of healing benefits it provides for our skin. Our organic Calendula hydrosol is distilled by an artisan in the Pacific Northwest using copper stills. Calendula is one of the most skin-healing herbs that we are aware of in all of herbal medicine. It is the perfect match for those with highly sensitive skin, reactive skin, a damaged lipid barrier, rosacea symptoms, or elemental skin damage. Energetically, Calendula is joyful, warm, and inviting. Aromatically this herbal hydrosol smells of fresh cut grass or dried hay.

If you are drawn to using this product because you have compromised skin or to help heal a damaged lipid barrier, then we recommend using it in tandem with our Essential Lipids for the best results. Ideally, this two-step extremely gentle skin ritual will be a healing steppingstone into the rest of the Laurel line for someone with a more vulnerable barrier. This healing Calendula Hydrosol can be used for everything from bug bites and eczema to rosacea symptoms.

USAGE:

Shake product well with each use and mist directly and generously onto clean skin, prior to a Serum or Balm.

Store this product in a cool, dry, and dark place. Use within 6 months of opening and within the use by date noted on the bottom of the bottle.

If you apply calendula flower oil to your cuts, scrapes, bruises, and insect bites, you can quickly speed the healing process, partially due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the oil, in addition to the resins and carotenoid compounds found in this miraculous plant. Aside from stimulating healing, calendula oil can significantly enhance and restore the appearance of our skin. It can improve blood and lymph flow, provide antioxidant protection, and reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone – even reducing the visibility of scars. Due to the unique chemical make-up of Calendula, it is our favorite for repairing compromised skin or a damaged skin barrier.
